Akbari Hammam was built in Turkish style. It consisted of four rooms, in addition to the main entrance lobby and space for firing fuel. It had an internal system of heating which maintained different temperatures in different rooms. The roof is covered by domes, pierced with wholes to admit light. The first room to be entered is the apodyterium, where clothes are taken off and entrusted to the owner of the bath. This is a rectangular room. The rest of the rooms are square in plan. The second room to be entered is tepidarium (warm room) followed by sudatorium (steam room) and finally caldarium (hot room). The room for firing fuel is also accessed from the tepidarium. The well for water supply was constructed just outside the hammam adjacent to the southern wall. The Hammam still functions during the winter season.
