There were several bridges constructed between Lahore and Peshawar particularly on Nala Dek but this bridge in finest among all bridges constructed in Pakistan. There are 12 viaducts which also make it one of the longest bridges constructed in Pakistan during the Mughal period. The main feature of the bridge is its semicircular buttresses attached to each viaduct which culminate in the form of domelet near the parapet wall. After every two buttresses the third one took the form of pillarlets and project out of the parapet wall and topped again with ringed domelets. The buttresses and pillarlets present a picturesque view of the bridge in the vast landscape.
