Brief Description

Shah Jahan ordered the construction of Khawabgah in 1633 AH while proceeding to Kashmir. He entrusted the work to Ilmud Din Wazir Khan, the governor of Lahore Suba. The Khawabgah comprise of five rooms is located opposite the Diwan-i-Khas in Shah Jahan quadrangle The building is open from the north side while south side has marble jali (screen) for cross ventilation. The beauty of the interior is stucco tracery presenting flower imagery with inlay of pieces of mirrors.
