During the early Arab period the Muslim missionaries and traders used to enter into Makran and disperse to different areas of Sindh and Balochistan for the purpose of trade and spread the message of Islam. They left their mark on their way in the form of architectural contribution. One of the mosques said to have been built by the Arab in the wilderness outside the town of Washuk in Balochistan. This roofless mosque is situated in the mountains and comprised of main prayer space roughly 12 feet by 12 feet enclosed by a six feet high wall and a court marked with stone masonry. The mosque was built with rough rubble masonry carefully laid one over the other without mortar. There is also a small opening for ventilation on the right side of the mihrab. There is also mihrab in the western wall having a pointed arch. A small room adjacent to the mosque also has a mihrab. The mihrab niche is spanned with stone slab lintel.
