Nauroze Fort is located on the bank of Buddo Stream, approximately 32 kilometers northeast of Kharan town. This remarkable fort was constructed by Sardar Nawab Sir Nauroze Khan Nosherwani about a century ago. It is primarily made of burnt bricks held together by mud mortar, although the lower section, up to a height of around 4 feet, is fortified with rubble stone masonry to reinforce its foundation. The fort’s walls stand at an impressive height of 30 feet and are 15 feet thick. Its sole entrance faces south, measuring 6 feet in width and 8 feet in height. The fort spans 80 feet in the east-west direction and 92 feet in the north-south direction, when measured from the outside. Inside the fort, along the northern wall, there is a vaulted chamber with a length of 24 feet and a width of 9 feet. This chamber features an arched entrance in the northern wall and is plastered with mud on the interior. The construction of the fort draws inspiration from the Persian tradition, incorporating geometrical patterns. Presently the fort is in dilapidated condition.
