Material and Method of Construction: Brick construction, Finished in Glazed tiles.
Abu Hanifa was Qazi (magistrate) of Uchhch during the thirteen century. Famous traveler Ibn Battuta recorded his meeting in “Muqadima” with the learned personality during his travel to the Indian subcontinent.
The rectangular tomb is located on a mound. Internally it was finished with fair face brickwork. The plain walls were treated with blind recessed arches. The flat wooden roof has partially collapsed. The main (east) facade is divided into three parts. Each part contains two tier of arches enclosed within rectangular framed. The main entrance lies in the central part. The frames and spandrel of arches are decorated with glazed tiles. The exterior walls of all other sides are decorated with bands of glazed tiles and glazed tile mosaic having geometrical patterns. The northern wall has blind arch in the middle and enclosed with high relief frame on three sides. There are two high level ventilators on the either side of blind arch. The facade is treated with horizontal bands of glazed tiles. The parapet wall has jhalar all around the tomb and executed in white glazed tiles.
