Tomb of Mian Ghulam Nabi Kalhoro

The tomb of Ghulam Nabi Kalhora son of Mian Noor Muhammad Chief of the Kalhora dynasty lie a close distance from Central Jail, Hyderabad. He was 15th in succession and ruled over Sindh from 1775 to 1776. Mian Ghulam Nabi who occupied the throne after Mian Sarfaraz Khan fled from the capital.

The tomb rest on raised rectangular platform. The terrace surrounding Mian Ghulam Nabi sepulcher is without a railing giving it an unfinished appearance.  Like Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhora tomb, this tomb is building octagonal in plan in exterior, and square in the interior.  A 16-sided drum supports the hemispherical dome.  A staircase built into the wall leads to the roof, with an entrance from the southwestern corner.

The tomb resembles in many aspects with that of his father Mian Noor Muhammad Kalhora’s tomb in district Nawabshah. The tomb is a massive brick structure covered with lime glazed plaster (thin paste of limestone) plaster and decorative glazed tile paneling. It stands over a square platform made of limestone.

To the west of the grave of Mian Ghulam Nabi, on the raised platform are two small graves. These are said to be the graves of two infant sons of Mian Ghulam Nabi.
