Brief Description
The most magnificent tomb of Moti Goharam is located in Khanpur near Gandava in district Jhal Magsi was built around the mid-seventeenth century. The tomb was planned on a vast terrace with kiosks at each corner. Each side of the platform is also decorated with arch panels. The platform is partitioned into a square grid and separated with walls and crowned with domes to make a floor of the platform. These square kiosks have openings on four sides and are covered with domes and plastered with lime mortar. Externally the domes are finished with ribs. The main tomb is octagonal in plan. Internally each octagonal side of the octagon has a deep niche. A mihrab was designed on the western side. The main entrance is on the east side while another side in the cardinal directions has arched opening at the lower levels to provide light and ventilation. These rectangular vertical panels are finished with glazed tiles having geometrical designs. The full height vertical arched niches are crowned with pointed arches and framed within rectangular panels. Internally these arches are finished with plaster creation ribs and nesting of cross arches. The architecture and decorative features of the tomb are closely related to Central Asian / Timurid architecture.

Along with the tomb a small mosque was also constructed on the northern side. The mosque is square in plan with arched openings on three sides and a mihrab on the western side. The mosque was finished with fair face brickwork both internally and externally. Each opening and mihrab is framed with projected brick false arch and rectangular panels. Similarly, the fair face brickwork of squinch arches adds beauty to the interior. The brickwork closely resembles a mosque built at Aror.
