Mulla Shah (1550-1635)was the spiritual guide of Mughal prince Dara Shikoh and his sister Jahanara Begum. He originally belonged to the Badakshan province of Afghanistan. He was the spiritual successor of Mian Mir, a famous Mughal period (Jahangir, Shah Jahan) period Sufi saint. He belonged to the Qadri order of Sufism. After his death, he was interred in a garden where his tomb was constructed. The tomb is square in plan and coved with a dome. The tomb was plaster from the interior and exterior.
